A woman is dead and a man has been left fighting for his life after they were stabbed at a backpackers hostel in north Queensland


Their attacker allegedly yelled out 'Allahu Akbar' during the frenzied attack and his arrest. Above is an injured victim being carried away


A total of three people were stabbed during the attack, including a 21-year-old woman, a 31-year-old man and a 46-year-old man. Pictured is one of the victims being helped


Emily Waters (pictured), a British woman who was staying at the hostel, said she was horrified by the attack, saying her friends had to witness 'the poor girl get murdered'
