Ali，索馬里裔15歲少年。為了逃離戰火及飢荒，他與朋友隻身逃離當地，經過埃塞俄比亞及蘇丹，到達利比亞首都的黎波里。
Ali的朋友途中跌出車外失救身故。在利比亞逗留期間，部份同行人士在生火煮食時，石油罐突然爆炸，導致傷亡。
Ali 被帶上橡皮艇。該艇在橫渡大西洋期間漏氣，眾人在海上飄流6小時後，方被意大利搜救人員發現。當中，更只有兩歲的嬰孩。

Ali, a 15-year-old Somali teen, shared his terrified and heart-breaking experience of crossing the Mediterranean sea. Hunger, injuries and death have passed him through along the journey.
He, along with his fellow passengers on a rubber boat, has been saved by Italian coast rescue effort after floating in the sea for 6 hours. Some of the passengers are as young as 2 years old.
